Now I'm going to show my ignorance. According to my calculations, the
image is 2048x753 pixels, or 1.5Mpix. How does that compress to 98KB
for a gif image? Are you binning the image down to a smaller size, or
is there really that much compression that can be done?
It is sure obvious from the gif image that the I-band images are out
of focus compared to the two other bandpasses. Also, the 'halo' around
the brighter stars is just an artifact of the Gaussian histogram technique.
