Just an idea: When you get a "new" variable, take your data with the time
series from Ticho and/or Hipparcos and/or any other similar survey.
They also have many doubtful variables, in the sense that these stars are
noisier than expected, but not enough to make them real variables. If two or
more surveys are noisier than expected, then the star is probably a "real"
micor variable.
