[TASS] Win95 Program Schedule

Windows 95 TASS software
Aaron Littich

I have decided on the schedule for versions:

Version 1: to be finished by end of September
Features: MarkIV Stamp control, memory card control, remote control (using a modified version of my dll or using Chris Albertson's linux code with ethernet) and FITS file output. Hoping to be able to implement Peter Mount's TCL scripting language (if I find out what it is). Some limited image processing functions might be implemented. Possibly a FTP data storage mechanism.

Version 2: to be finished sometime between October and November
Features: all functions and capabilities of Version 1, plus database access, definite FTP, and all Image processing (like Fourier sharpening, brightness and contrast, color, pixel repair, etc.).

Version 3: the final version of Windows program, due date around Jan 1, 2000 (no Y2K reason)
Features: all version 1 and 2 stuff, plus ability to control SBIG and amateur cookbook cams, Meade etc, distributed processing, and online internet control of cameras. Plus other improvements as they come.

Note, this is very rough, but I need to set deadlines for myself, otherwise go crazy. Dates could be earlier, later, who knows, but I will try to get them out before the above dates. I want to at least get a real time MarkIV windows 95 control program running for people who want it.

Thursday, I will be sending out the Windows program as is, which as I said earlier, will not be much. Just dialog boxes, basic forms, etc. You will not be able to control a darn thing at all. Sorry to disappoint, but I have only skimmed the surface. I didn't mean to give the impression that this code was compiled, tested, running, I only came up to say that I'm working on the Windows interface, and that it would be helpful if you could supply me examples of code (any, like Basic or linux code, would be fine, just so I can read it). I'm not the dictator of this program, like Chris said, I will take suggestions and modify the code to each user's personal opinion.

I am hoping I will get a internet account at home soon. Right now I m doing it at school.
