Since I raised some concerns, let me say that if this facility helps
the developers and causes the end users no grief, that's fine with me.
I myself would not be a developer, my bits of code are modest and are
not part of the TASS camera or data reduction chains for either Mark III
or Mark IV. I hope I can navigate this system if necessary: if it's
complicated to do so, maybe a set of pointers to the latest release of
Mark IV drivers and data reduction software can be established "off line"
to the CVS. Unless Mark III software is put into this CVS, I may not even
need to use it.
