I'm sure like most of our TASS members I'm in this to be informed, not
to be entertained, and I've found the boring details to be essential in
making things work.

Yeow! That says it all to me. For fun, I should look at the pixel
dark current value vs "time" (across the rows) to see if the value declines
systematically.

In my working life (including repair of electronics) I've also found I have
good days when I have the "golden touch" and bad days when I have the
"feces touch"; so I'm sympathetic. Glad you are on a roll, Tom.
