Figure you may want to do this yet again.

The RH6.2 install procedure allows you to add one or more "normal" (non root)
users right after it asks you to supply a password for "root".  It is easy to
not add a user and think you did if you did not click "ok" after entering the
user information.  So, look at the password file do "more /etc/passwd" and see
if there is a line that starts with "droege".  If so then you are in if not then
you didn't click OK.  

Either way, 
Assuming that you have X11 running.  Bring up a terminal and type the command
"linuxconf".  You will see a big tree go down to where is says user account,
normal,
user account and click on the line. Press the add button and fill in the blanks.
Leave the lines marked (opt) blank and also  a blank for supplementary groups,
and do yourself a favor and select "/bin/tcsh"
as you command interpreter. 

Or you can do what I do.  Just edit /etc/passwd to add a user.
