I would be happy to try to help you along (or anyone else on the list).

I use Mandrake, which is based on RedHat, but all the source is compiled for
Pentium class machines rather than 386.  Mandrake is also more friendly (at
least in the setup department) than RedHat.  If you're not emotionally
attached to RedHat, I might suggest a change, and I can mail you the
CD-ROM's for the latest version, 7.1 (It's also freeware).  Regardless, my
offer stands for help.

Currently, I use my Mandrake system as a server for my windows machines at
home.  It hosts a firewall and dial-on-demand internet connectivity
(overkill, but fun).
