Dome is on the Roof
A big crane showed up at 8 am this morning and lifted the dome up on the
roof. I took lots of pictures, hopefully some will turn out OK so I can
make another show and tell note. My plan is to put two Mark IVs in the
dome. One will be V, I and the second V, R. But R, B if I can get a blue
sensitive CCD.
Meanwhile ARNE is back together and working. In about a week I will put it
out on the porch and test it. I have just ordered parts for what I hope is
the last modification to the hardware. This is some clamps to hold the
cameras together. Previously I glued the cameras together to seal
them. The new spacer ring seals much better so glue is not needed. The
small back pressure from the bubbler now just pops the camera open. So I
have designed a little clamp that will hold it shut.
Looks like I am now reduced to production things. I have the test set up
back together and am now testing boards. Boring! In fact all the jobs
that re left are mostly boring. I am used to having 20 people working
for me, with people supervising people to do the boring
jobs. Sigh! Now I have to do everything.
I am hoping now to get out to Arizona mid to end of August. I have not yet
started to coordinate everyone.
