We have all been holding our breath while you went up
the mountain:
Moses was the leader of the local hiking club.
Always led his followers safely past the village pub.
Went up into The Mountain to receive the joyful news,
Then Aaron led the hiking club and took 'em on the booze.
I once received a long and powerful sermon on the subject
of Coming Down from The Mountain ...

A nasty comment on Arne's pretty image: if they are all like
that, we are going to have one hell of a problem measuring
star magnitudes. I think Star and my programs are both
equally unprepared to deal (in their own different ways)
with the high star density and rapid background variations!
There - you've got a comment to show somebody is still
awake even if they are not helpful!

I suspect there is some feeling that "there's nothing in it
for me any more." The Mk IV is getting pretty close to Big
Science and the available projects for us outsiders are
getting squeezed. The space between deadly boring at one
end and out of reach at the other is pretty small.
Meanwile, I am still grinding away at CD15. Elliptical
sources with offset elliptical halos are the flavour of
the week. Much better fits with two ellipses than with
four circular gaussians. So there should be: there are
more adjustable parameters!
