OK, success. I could not get Windows 98 to run the camera. So I loaded
Windows 95. It would not run until I restored the CMOS to the default
values. Does Windows muck around with the BIOS? Sigh! In any case the
new computer can now talk to a camera so I can get back to taking
data. BTW, I found the uninstal.exe on the boot disk, but I note that it
does not get rid of everything. Perhaps the only way is to format c: and
then restore the BIOS to the default values??
