Mike and all,

The tangent arm is nearly 10" between the wheels.  This would give 47 
degrees.  But you should be able to go a little further, especially with 
short exposures as the error is small at first when you go off the end of 
the arm.  So I think 3+ hours can be had.  I am not sure about travel in 
each direction.  It can go further west than east.
