Re: Observational session control/second try
Hit "send" to soon.
I'd like to work on this but I'm at work right now working on
software that writes software that controls a telemetry system.
Kind of a neat concept. We will build or real-time software
system automatically from a specification of the data stream.
The stream contains thousands of measurments, conditional flags
and so on. I'll be busy at this for a while.... Fist milestone
demo in Monday. Lunch this summer.

So one can with current software write a TCL program to
drive the real-time controller.

An optimizer running in real time is REALLY limited. It can not
look ahead and move future comands forward to fill a gap nor can
it reschedule a command that has already began or finished.
