You need to look at their 'validation' file, which contains the stars
that are currently present in their database. It is a few thousand
stars long. I had Aaron create a version for me with decent astrometry
so that I could take the data off of ARNE and find the stars of interest
quickly.
In reality, however, the AAVSO is there to archive *any* variable star
photometry. If you have data on a star that is not currently on their
program, just send it in. They will add it to the 'validation' file.
It happens all the time, especially for new novae or supernovae.
