I looked at the Niarchos, et al. paper on DF Hya (Astronomy and
Astrophysics vol. 258, p. 323-328, 1992) and it does indeed have a
total eclipse. Period and light curve changes have been seen in this
system, so it would be worth doing an IBVS on the data, especially
since you can add a couple of times of minimum. Unfortunately since you
only have one maximum, you won't be able to say anything about the
asymmetries in the maxima that seem to have varied in the past (not at
all unusual for these systems).
