Thanks again!!!

Yep, the newvar.cat unfortunately tripled in size recently when he added
a lot of quasars and the Ogle II Bulge variables, at 23+ Mb that
unfortunately makes it a little too big now for me to download regularly
just to make sure I've got the last two Bernhard and/or Haseda variables
:(

I've forgetting his/her name, but it stands for
Japanese-person-whose-name-begins-with-I Suspected Variable. Possibly an
early vsnet/kusastro staff member (TK's sensei?) who is no longer
there(???) The ISV objects amount to about half a dozen or so plate
based serendipitous detections I think (using memory, could be wrong as
to source provenance).

I'd looked at a couple of the high proper motion ones in a vain hope of
catching a flare star, but success was about as much as to be expected
(ie none).

INCIDENTALLY: NSV 3001 on your list says EW: with about mag 0.5P range,
but TASS shows it to be pretty much constant. You would think that
there'd be some use for such information, if only in a dry as dust
bookkeeping sense of getting rid of all of the constant entries in NSV,
or at least flagging them constant (as now). Trouble is who to contact,
as most of the GCVS and NSV contact links on their webpages invariably
turn out to be Samus' email address, no matter whose dept. or name is
mentioned. The NSV staff person's email address is the same as Samus'
for instance.

Cheers
