Hipparcos variables and TASS

Regarding recent disscusion about variables ;)
There's a many poorly studied red variables 
discovered by Hipparcos. From about 2 years I
observed some visual. It is interesting that
some have large amplitude (about 1 mag).
And another note about this. There's very
interesting paper about HVariables. See
Journal of AAVSO vol 27 no 2 1999 D. Hoffleit
"Hipparcos versus GCVS Amplitudes of Non-Mira 
M-Type Giants".

Anyone checked his data for these stars? :)
