I'm gonna drill down on this. The AAVSO make much to do about eliminating 
"discrepant" data. Somehow they have an idea of some way of determining if 
a data point should be excluded. Do you disagree with this? Or do you 
think (correctly) that someone like myself does not have the training to 
accurately do this and should leave well enough alone?

I think some of my frames are probably "bad", due mainly to my wiggle in 
RA. I can go through and remove them by eye (or by using FWIW or something)
  but it seems there would be a more systematic way to do it based on the 
supposed non-variability of K-C.
