Hey folks,
Anyone interested in a Sky Coverage Graph, ala: http://scully.harvard.edu/~cgi/SkyCoverage.html
I've done a little work on it, like defining an initial database, a XML schema and sample XML file:
http://www.logicalchaos.org/tass/tass-observations.jpg
http://www.logicalchaos.org/xml/observations.xsd
http://http://www.logicalchaos.org/xml/observations.xml
It's still needs some rework (allow 'friends of tass' to place their observations/single camera systems, ???), but the idea is to have observations submitted via either e-mail or http PUT operation (form on web page or script upload).
This capability may eventually be taken care of by the 'master' dB, but I wanted to play, and this is something I can manage with my meager alloted server space.
Of course, this would need buy in from the telescope operators, and I am willing to spend time with each of you to create scripts/programs which would create the necessary XML data from your respective pipeline when the time comes.
What say?
Cheers,
Rob
