NSV 1697 = BD +05 706

John Greaves notified me that NSV 1697 = BD +05 706 = GSC 91-830 = 1RXS
J044157.8+053641 (the third star I mentioned in my "Top-20" post) is a
"cool Algol", with a period of 18.9 days.  Simbad mentions a number of
papers about this star, but the identification with NSV 1697 has not
been given.
The three nights of TASS data are not sufficient to verify the period,
but apparantly some of the variation is due to spots, which makes the
light curve change from season to season.
