February Status Report
We collected about 60 CD's worth of data this month. We now have over 150
CD's of data for daily runs starting last November. There should be 10 or
more observations for many stars in the 500,000 or so stars covered. This
should be enough for some interesting longer period varibles to be
discovered. Since this data covers the equator, we should be able to
calibrate the data with Landolt standards.
Work continues on drawings for the Mark V.
We worked this month on a "Clear and Dark Sky" detector. The Mark I
detected clear sky only. It even works in daylight. The Mark II also
measures daylight, so it can be used for a completely automated site. The
scheme has modest directionality so it can be used under intermittent cloud
conditions.
