Re: Curious Result

I think I am done with the "Curious Result".

I have taken data at a number of values for VVH. I can see no obvious
difference in the plot of mag sigma vs mag for different values of
VVH. This does not mean that there is no difference, just that it was not
obvious enough for me to detect on a rather sparse plot.

I also looked at the effect where there seem to be more stars at the
scanned bottom (East side) of the image than at the top. When I took out
the single hit stars, this effect seemed to go away. Possibly the bottom
having slightly more noise since it contains more dark current and is
scanned last might find more stars. This is really grasping at straws.

OK, I think I am done. There seems to be no reason not to start processing
the pile of disks. There also seems to be no reason to change VVH or
anything else. So production will start. Speak now, or ...

The noise floor would seem to be at about mag 0.025. Not as good as I
would like, but possibly as good as I can get here in Batavia, IL.
