I am slowly working my way through the new TOM1 data that has not been
presented to this group. I have 3 million measurements done from -6 to
+18. My guess is that when I am caught up to date that I will have 10
million measurement pairs on 1 million stars. I think it will take a
couple more weeks.
While I am processing the old data, I am trying to also keep up with the
new data that is coming in. I now have some data from -6 to +90 reduced.
In about 3 months, the TOM1 data will "close". That is we will start
getting data on the same stars almost a year later. This should make for
some interesting comparisons and will tell us how well the system is doing.
When I get a full CD of TOM1 data I will send it out to those that are
interested.
I am still struggling with how to keep track of what I have processed, and
what data to throw away. This is not easy. Since the new data format
allows data selection, I plan to set somewhat loose limits, and let those
that look at the data use the available files to discard measurements when
the best data is desired.
