Thanks for the offer.  I'll take you up on it as and when I need to.
Am still at the early stages of getting my head around the thing at present.

Doug Welch has pointed me in the direction of how to get images so that will 
be sufficient for the time-being.  However I do have some questions as to 
how much the raw images have been transformed.  I need to know this.  I've 
decided that in the most part the methodology could work well with the 
existing images without having to get back to the raw ones.  This depends on 
a few things.

In particular, looking at the comment lines in the FITS header of an image, 
the filenames of the dark and flat frames are quoted.  So what would be 
needed would be to be able to work on all images taken with each named flat 
as a whole.  I am not concerned about the dark just the flat.

However, any other transformation of the raw image could be a killer.  I 
take it it is just darks and flats have already been applied, nothing else 
fancy?  The rest, such as color correction, seems to be done in the pipeline 
processing of the images, n'est-ce pas?
