I have been unable to get cfitsio loaded on a different computer.  It is
working on chipper (Rob set it up) which I am presently using to run tom1.
 However this computer is also running wine and runs very slow.  This
causes loss of 10-20% of the images taken. Possibly other problems as
well.

In any case, I need to learn to load cfitsio on an arbitrary computer so
that I can get the rest of the tomxs running with Rob's software.

A likely problem is that I have not loaded the proper fortran compiler or
set permissions properly or there is a difference between Unix and linux
that needs to be considered or ...

No doubt I will need to work with the person who helps.  I can put the
computer on the network so that you can get it working, but I really need
to learn how to do it myself.  So I really prefer to work from a list of
instructions.
