Hi Tom, Sorry to hear of your disk woes. I would be VERY surprised if both systems are bad. I suspect that only one is truly lost. One way to attack this is to make a KNOPPIX CD-ROM (or have one of us mail you one) and boot each system with it to see what is lost and what isn't. Cheers, Doug
