Re: e-mail
hi Tom,
i can't get to the web page www.snapmail.us. but to check if they are
still accepting mail connections, i manually typed a test msg to their
MX host mail.snapmail.us. it accepted telnet to port 25 but answered
as www73.genericdns.com, but this may be ok since the name server for
snapmail.us is ns73a and ns73b.genericdns.com.
doing helo and the rest of a simple header it then accepted mail to
droege@snapmail.us, and gave me an ok with a message ID:
250 OK id=1DvmPc-0003xE-6r
so mail is still going in. maybe they're having trouble with just the
imap server. hopefully it will be back up shortly. but since we can't
check the web site either it makes it appear that they may be cut off
due to lack of payment to their hosting service.
