hi professor,
i've been having some trouble with two of the bonus problems: problem
1b and problem 3d. for problem 1a, would i use interference from a
thin film to determine the thickness of the quartz, or would i still
have to use refraction, or some other way i haven't thought of yet?
for problem 3d i have no idea how to go about starting even thinking
about how i would solve it, so would it be possible to get a hint or
two on how to solve it?
