One of the Mark IV cameras is located at the RIT Observatory, in Rochester, NY. This document simply shows some pictures of it on the Observatory grounds.
The camera is housed in a Rubbermaid garden shed, which sits on a concrete pad. Here's a view from the back of the shed, which faces south.
This view shows the front of the shed, as well as the building behind it, which contains a 16-inch telescope. Note the garbage can -- it contains cooling water.
One can open the doors of the shed and roll half of the roof backwards to give the camera a view of the southern sky. We sometimes connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the control computer as shown.
Inside the shed sits the Mark IV -- it's a tight fit.
Behind the camera, there's a small platform, raised above the floor on cinderblocks. The control computer, air pump, and a few other items sit on the platform. Note that one can communicate with this computer either directly, via the keyboard and monitor, as shown, or over the Internet. When the camera is in regular operation, we will use the latter mode.
As the sun sets to the west, the Observatory buildings glow ....
