See http://www2.jps.net/~chrisja/TASS_Software/ and click on TASS_Driver_30JUL98.tgz This is the latest Mk III real-time software for Linux. It is bug free enough to drive a camera and save FITS images to disk. I am using it myself to do this. Some of the secondary functions remain to be fully tested. It contains only very minor changes from the 05 July version. New in this version. 1) Tar file now contains libraries needed to build. 2) There is a "make install" make target. that copies binary files out to /usr/local/... I'll expand on this automated install later. 3) This version should not shut down automatically. I bypassed the CCD v. water temp. check. So use with care. Note that you can still read the temperatures manually with the "status" command.
